CHARLOTTE, N.C. – For the second consecutive week, Lawrence Kipkoech has been named the Big South Cross Country Runner of the Week, the conference office announced Wednesday afternoon.
Kipkoech is coming off a second-place finish in the UVA Panorama Farms Invitational on Friday, Sept. 23, competing against some of the nation's top talent in the meet. He finished the 8K course in 23:29.7 to set a Campbell 8K cross country record, helping lead the Camels past No. 4 Stanford..
Most recently, Kipkoech was named to the FloTrack.com Saucony Flo50 men's individual rankings, selected as the No. 16 runner in the country after being unranked the previous week.
Up next for the CU men, the Camels will compete in the Adidas XC Challenge in Asheville, N.C. on Saturday, Oct. 1. Following that meet, the team will travel to Terre Haute, Ind. for NCAA Pre Nationals on Saturday, Oct. 15. For the most up-to-date information on Campbell cross country.
