WILMINGTON, N.C. – Coming off its second tournament victory of the 2016-17 men's golf season, Campbell continues its spring schedule Sunday and Monday with the Seahawk Intercollegiate at the Country Club of Landfall.  The 12-team event begins with 36 holes Sunday and concludes with Monday's final round.

In addition to No.-63 Campbell and 64th-ranked host UNCW, the field includes No.-11 Kent State and No.-26 North Carolina.

Coach John Crooks will send the same lineup to Landfall that produced a five-stroke victory over host Houston in the Border Olympics last week.  Sophomore Jespers Svensson, who tied for second (70-66—136) and freshmen Brett McLamb (T6th, 73-66—139) and Max Theodorakis (T11th, 68-73—141) will be joined by junior Thomas La Morte and sophomore Ray Kraivixien.  In addition, seniors Gaston Bertinotti and Craig Hornberger, both of whom have produced a pair of top-10 finishes in the Seahawk Intercollegiate, will compete as individuals.

Sunday's play begins with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start on the Landfall Ocean & Marsh course. Campbell will be paired with Akron and Army for the first 36 holes.  Monday's final round will start with double tee times at 8:00 a.m.  The top three schools are scheduled to tee off on the first hole at 9:12 a.m.

Both Svensson and McLamb produced their best collegiate finishes and low rounds last week at Laredo Country Club.  Svensson notched his second top-10 effort of the year and lowered his stroke average to 72.5, ninth-best in the Big South Conference.  He was named Big South golfer of the week for the second time this season.

McLamb earned Big South freshman of the week honors after lowering his scoring mark to 74.0 and recording his first collegiate top-10.  La Morte (72.0) ranks fifth among Big South stroke average leaders, while Theodorakis is sixth (72.14) and Kraivixien eighth (72.26).

Campbell (203-282-296—880) won the 2015 edition of the Seahawk Intercollegiate the CC of Landfall Nicklaus course by five strokes over No.-30 Georgia.  Bertinotti tied for third (74-70-74—218), while Hornberger (75-72-75—222) tied for ninth.

Last year, the Camels finished fourth behind Duke, UNCW and Army in an event that was shortened to 36 holes by rain.  Hornberger (69-73—142) tied for sixth.

The Landfall Ocean & Marsh course, which will host the 2017 PGA Tour Wells Fargo Championship pre- and Monday qualifiers, will play to par-72 over 7036 yards.
