CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Caroline Smith has been named the Big South Player of the Week for her performances during the previous game week, April 10-16.
Smith posted a .583 batting average in 12 at-bats during Campbell's weekend sweep at Radford. She had at least two base hits in each game, including a 3-for-5 effort in Friday's game two.
In game one, she went 2-for-3, scoring once and driving in one run, as well as drawing a walk. IN the series finale, she went 2-for-4, scoring one run.
During the weekend, Campbell swept the Highlanders to push its streak to six games in a row, and second consecutive Big South series sweep.
CU welcomes North Carolina A&T for a midweek single game, April 18 at 6 p.m. inside Amanda Littlejohn Stadium.
