Lynchburg, VA - Campbell dropped its first conference match of the season as the Camels fell to Liberty 7-0 Thursday afternoon at the Cook Tennis Center.
Campbell (6-6, 2-1 Big South) dropped the doubles point after not claiming any of the matchups and went on to drop the next three singles set as Liberty (7-6, 1-0 Big South) clinched the match at No. 2 with Maria Medina's 6-3, 6-4 win over
Alexandra Andrivot. The Peymeinade, France native now sits at 5-6 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
After winning her previous six matches,
Georgina Segarra dropped her matchup at No. 6 to Evangeline Crist 6-1, 7-6 (7-2). The Mataro, Spain native now holds a 6-4 overall and 2-1 mark in conference play.
Ana Castillo dropped her first match after winning five straight in a 7-5, 6-4 downfall at No. 1 to Ashley Bongart.

Campbell returns to action Saturday, March 17 when they host Presbyterian at 10:00 a.m. as a part of a two-game home stand. CU takes on Charleston Southern on Monday, March 19 to close it out first serve set for 2:00 p.m.
