Game one: Campbell 3, Longwood 1 (10 innings)
Megan Richards (10-7) had a career day in the opening game of the doubleheader, pitching a 10 inning no-hitter to lead Campbell to a 3-1 victory at Lancer Field. The Lynchburg, Va., native fanned out six batters and faced five above the minimum with four walks on the day.
The game proved to be a pitcher's duel, as Longwood starter Sydney Backstrom also had a quality start, throwing eight innings and striking out five while allowing five hits and one run. Sydney Gay (13-7) picked up the loss after giving up two runs in the 10th inning of play.
Longwood plated its only run of the game in the first inning to take an early 1-0 lead. Jordan Clark reach base on a lead-off walk, advanced to third off a Destiny Martinez groundout and scored via a sacrifice bunt by Kaylynn Batten.
Katie Manring knotted up the game at 1-1 in the fourth with her first career home run, a solo shot down the left field line.
The Camels threatened to take the lead in the seventh with a runner at third with two outs, but a foul out ended the scoring opportunity. After being hit by a pitch,
Christa Hall advanced to third off a
Rachel McCollum single to center field.
Campbell tacked on two runs in the 10th inning of play to secure the 3-1 victory and tie up the series.
Caroline Smith singled through the left side and
Megan Mozingo was hit by a pitch to put two on base with one out.
On the next play, the duo converted a double steal and Smith reached home off a fielding error by Longwood's defense. A second error by the Lancers' shortstop allowed Mozingo to score on the following play.
Game two: Longwood 10, Campbell 1 (5 innings)
Jenna Dunn hit a two-run walk-off home run in the fifth inning to secure the 10-1 series-clinching victory for Longwood on Saturday afternoon in Farmville, Va.

Longwood battled back in the bottom of the first, tacking on a run to tie it up at 1-1. Clark got on base with a lead-off walk, advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt and scored via a single to left center field by Batten.
The Camels only other hit of the game came in the fourth, as Manring smacked a single up the middle on the first pitch she saw. Manring advanced to second following a walk of
Melissa Tullar, but that was as far as she would get with two straight outs to end the inning.
LU batted around the order in the bottom of the fourth, tacking on seven runs to take a commanding 8-1 lead. The Lancers scored off of five hits, two walks and one error in the inning. The Camels employed three different pitchers in the inning, including starter
Haley Hutchins, Richards and
Hannah McCravy.
After forcing a three up, three down inning by the Camels, Dunn smacked a two-run homer to left field to bring home Clark, who reached base on a lead-off double to center. The walk-off home run was Dunn's first of the year.
Gay (14-7) picked up the win, pitching a complete game with only two hits and one run allowed, while fanning out three Campbell batters.
Hutchins (3-5) was charged with the loss after giving up six hits and five runs across three innings pitched, while striking out two. Richards and McCravy combined to pitch the final inning of the game for CU.
