Camels fall to the Blue Hose 4-3

Box Score CLINTON, S.C.-The Camels fell in today's match against the Presbyterian Blue Hose 4-3 in Clinton, S.C. Campbell currently sits at 8-8 overall for the regular season and 2-2 in conference play.

Presbyterian secured two doubles win to take an early lead. Doubles partners Inma Ramon and Isabel Boada dropped the first matchup to Presbyterian's Samantha Calais and Jessica Leeman with a final 6-3 decision. Campbell's doubles duo Alexandra Nicoara and Lea Cutura fell in the second doubles match against Prebyterian doubles partners Beth Taylor and Katie Thompson with a 6-0 mark.

The Blue Hose racked up two singles wins bringing the their lead up by 3. CU attempted to make a comeback in singles action and managed to notch three singles wins for the day. Sophomore Ana Castillo secured the first singles win for the Camels to defeat Tracy Johnson with a score of 6-3, 6-3. Castillo's doubles partner Lou Regen notched a singles win of her own with a 7-5, 6-2 victory over Presbyterian player Sydney Patton. Ramon came through with the final singles win for the Camels, a 7-6, 7-5 win over Jessica Leeman.
