CHARLESTON, S.C. – Charleston Southern defeated Campbell 6-1 in Big South Conference women's tennis action Wednesday afternoon.
The Bucs (4-6, 2-0) won the doubles point, then claimed a trio of 3-set matches in singles play to deal Campbell (2-7, 0-3) is fourth-straight loss.
In doubles play, Campbell's top duo of
Ana Castillo and Anna-Marie Kopecká saw its six-match win streak halted by Tiffany Pyritz and Zoe Cauthen by a 6-3 margin. CSU clinched the point with a 6-3 victory at the third position.
Ana Castillo secured the lone point for Campbell with a straight sets win at number two singles.
Campbell returns to action Saturday in a 2 p.m. first serve at Gardner-Webb.
