LYNCHBURG, VA. – Campbell dropped only two sets in singles play and defeated Georgetown 6-1 Sunday at the Liberty Tennis Center.
Mialy Ranaivo,
Rhona Cook,
Sandra Gines and Mariana Osso won it straight sets for the Camels (1-2).
Marissa Pennings claimed a three-set decision at the top singles position, while
Anna-Marie Kopecka lost her first set, but rallied to win the final two at the fourth spot.
Cook and Ranaivo also paired for a tiebreak victory at the top doubles spot.
Campbell returns to action Saturday at Wake Forest (3:00 p.m.).
