Three Camels named Academic All-District

Bjelke, Graf and Johansson honored by College Sports Communicators

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell golf standouts Henric Bjelke, Logan Graf and Erik Johansson have been named to the Academic All-District® men's at-large team by the College Sports Communicators.

The CSC recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes at-large honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Nominees for the Academic All-America® awards must be at least a sophomore in academic standing and have a minimum of a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average (4.0 scale).  Golf nominees must have competed in 70 percent of the institution's total varsity team scoring events or in the conference championship.

The 2025 CAA Champion and NCAA Amherst regional participant, Bjelke graduated last month with a 3.51 GPA as a sport management major.  A four-time conference honor roll member, the senior from Oslo, Norway completed his career with the 20th-lowest career stroke average (73.81) in CU men's golf history.

Bjelke earned the third-highest national ranking (No. 267) among CAA golfers and won the CAA individual championship and earned league's automatic berth in NCAA Regionals.  He posted the second-lowest single round score (65) in CAA tourney history in the opening round and set a personal collegiate low score that tied the school record for lowest 18 in league tournament play as well as the Union League National course mark.

He also tied for first place at the Palmetto Intercollegiate and was runner-up at Cutter Creek Intercollegiate, where he led Campbell to the team title.  Bjelke posted a 72.54 scoring average (71.4 adjusted stroke average) and played par, or better, golf in 16 of 35 rounds.

A Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar in 2024, Bjelke was also named the 2022 Big South freshman of the year.

Graf owns a perfect 4.0 grade-point average as a finance major.  IN his first season at Campbell after transferring from Eastern Michigan, the red-shirt sophomore from Sylvan Lake, Alberta, Canada was named to the CAA Commissioner's Honor Roll with Distinction.

He played in 5 events and posted a 76.1 stroke average.  Graf finished T18 (71-72-71—214) in his Campbell debut at the Battle at Briar's Creek and shot a season-low 69 in Cutter Creek Invitational (69-78-73—220, T27), where he helped CU win team title.

In just two varsity seasons, Johansson already owns the 10th-lowest career scoring average (72.746) in Campbell men's golf Division I (since 1985) history.  Twice named to the CAA Commissioner's Honor Roll, he has posted a 3.65 GPA as a finance major.  A sophomore from Hollviken, Sweden, Johansson has four top-10 finishes in 23 tournaments.

During his sophomore year Johansson had six top 20 showings in 11 tournaments.  He tied for 13th at the Cutter Creek Intercollegiate (74-69-73—216) to help CU win team title and was 6th at the Daytona Beach Intercollegiate (71-74-75—220).  Johansson compiled a 73.3 scoring average with nine rounds of par, or better, golf.  He was the 2024 CAA rookie of the year, first-team All-CAA selection and earned an individual berth in the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional.

"These student athletes represent the finest of team members.  They have been focused on their athletics and academics consistently throughout their careers," said head coach John Crooks, who just completed his 35th season in charge of the Campbell men's team.  They have found a way to be successful in any of their endeavors throughout their careers.  I am so proud they have chosen Campbell University to fulfill their collegiate dreams."

Under Crooks' direction, Campbell has earned NCAA postseason berths in men's or women's play in 16-consecutive years.
