2007 Track & Field: Notched three first place jumps during the outdoor season, first at the International Freedom Games (7.54m, 24-09.00), then at the Cape Fear Classic (7.38m, 24-02.50) and once more at the NCAA Regional’s, qualifying for the championship’s with a 7.52m (24-08.25)...Finished ninth in the NCAA Championships with a mark of 7.27m (23-10.25)...Was a top indoor contender in A-Sun competition, taking first place in the 200m (22.34) and the long jump (7.44) and finishing second in the 60m (7.07) and the triple jump 14.24 (46-08.75)...At the Liberty Fast Times, he finished second in the 60m with a 7.07 mark, second in the 200m with a 22.68 and first in the long jump with a 7.05 performance (23-01.75)...Grabbed another long jump victory at the UNC Opener with a 7.41 (24-03.75) and took second on another visit to Chapel Hill, measuring 7.21 (23-08.00)...In the triple jump, he notched one first place finish, coming at the UNC Opener with a 14.24 (46-08.75)...Also a force in outdoor competition, he took first in the long jump and second in the triple jump at the A-Sun Championships with marks of 7.59 (24-11.00) and 14.69 (48-02.50), respectively...He also placed fourth in both the 100m (11.03) and 200m (22.08)...Notched a pair of 200m second place finishes with the International Freedom Games (21.68) and the Cape Fear Classic (22.18)...Set a Campbell school record at the Carolina Fast Times with a 7.69m (25-02.75) long jump mark...Recorded one second place mark in the triple jump, hitting a 14.64m (48-00.50) in the Carolina Fast Times...
2006 Track & Field: Received three All Atlantic Sun honors at the A-Sun Indoor Championships finishing second in both the long jump (7.55m) and the triple jump (13.38m) and was a member of the third-place 4x400m relay team (3:25.84)...received a pair of All Atlantic Sun honors at the A-Sun Outdoor Championships with a pair of second place finishes in the triple jump (13.49m) and long jump (7.15m)...set personal record in the 60m with a time of 7.20 at the A-Sun Outdoor Championships, also set a personal record in the 200m with a time of 22.76 placing sixth...set a personal record at the Winthrop Invitational with a triple jump measuring 14.06...won the Patriot Open in the long jump with a jump 7.12m
2005 Track & Field: A member of the Campbell 4x400 meters relay team that finished 19th at the NCAA East Regional in Randall’s Island, N.Y.... was All-Atlantic Sun in both the 4x400 meters (first team) and the 4x100m (third team) finishing first and third respectively at the A-Sun Championships... finished fourth in the long jump competition at the A-Sun Championships with a distance of 7.10m (23-03.50)... was the long jump champion at both the Coastal Carolina meet (6.98m) and the George Mason Invitational (7.32m)... was a top-15 finisheder in all but two competitions last season.
Prep/Personal: Samuel Tilly competed in the long jump, triple jump, 100 meters, 200 meters and 4x400 meter relay events for the Manta Rays ... holds school records in the long jump (22’9”) and in the triple jump (45’2”) ... finished fifth in both events at the state championship meet and helped the 4x400 meter relay team to an eighth-place finished running the anchor leg ... was the district and regional champion for the long jump in 2004 and the district champion and regional runner-up in the triple jump ... holds the longest punt return mark in school history at 98 yards... born Oct. 1, 1985 in Cincinnati, Ohio ... son of Clair and Diane Tilly...played 4-on-4 flag football in high school where his squad made the National Championships in 2003 and 2004...majoring in sport management
