Biography

2005 Track and Field: One of the top sprinters last season… best finish was fourth which she achieved twice (UNCW Seahawk Invitational and Coastal Carolina)… was in the top three on the team in the 60m, 100m and 200m… improved in several categories setting four new PR’s including going 12.29 in the 100m at the George Mason meet… finished in the top-10, five times during the season.  

Abilene Christian University: Competed in the 60 meters (indoors), 100m, 200 m, and as part of the 4x100m relay team for the Wildcats ... ran a top time of 12.07 seconds in the 100m at the ACU Open and a top time of 26.14 in the 200m at the Lonestar Conference Championships.  

Prep/Personal: Amal Taissir was the African champion in the 100 meters in 2001 ... her team was third in the 4x100 meter relay in 2001 ... had a personal-best time of 11.50 in the 100 meters ... was also the Moroccan champion in the 80 meters, 100 meters, and 200 meters… the daughter of Abdel Kebir Taissir and Malika Founti, she has three siblings: Mehdi, Assmaa and Wafaa ... her sister Wafaa is also currently on the Campbell track team… born June 4, 1982 in Casablanca, Morocco ... an Exercise Science major.
