Biography

One of the most successful runners in recent memory for the Camels, Verrelle Wyatt moves his attention from the course to coaching, beginning his first season as a student coach for the Campbell cross country unit.

The Copley, Ohio native lettered in cross country and track with the Camels, earning Atlantic Sun All-Conference honors as a junior after finishing fifth in the conference championships. Wyatt was also honored by the league four times as an all-academic performer.

Wyatt led the Camels to three team wins in 2007, including the Campbell Invitational, where he also took the individual title, breaking former Camel great Mike Earle's course record, lowering the 5K mark. The kinesiology major also earned a win at UNC Wilmington's Seahawk Invitational, while taking a runner-up showing at the Longwood Invitational.

In addition to those accolades, Wyatt also took four wins as a member of the Campbell track & field team in 2007 and a pair of additional cross country victories in 2006.
