Atlantic Sun All-Academic recipient who carries a 28-24 career singles record into his senior season…
 

2005-06: Earned 2006 Atlantic Sun All-Academic team honors… Went 10-12 in singles play, including a 5-5 mark at #3 and a 3-1 mark at #4… Recorded a 9-9 mark in doubles play with four partners… Was 4-3 in fall tournament singles competition…

 

2004-05:  Earned a place on the Atlantic Sun Conference All-Academic Team… Compiled a 9-11 singles record, including a 4-4 mark at #6 in dual matches… Was 9-6 at #3 doubles with partner Ryan Mills… Posted a 4-4 singles record in fall tournament action… Advanced to singles semifinals of South Carolina Fall Invitational (B-3 Flight) before losing to teammate Marc Sifre… Collected a 3-3 doubles record with partner Nick Owen in tournament play…

 

2003-04:  Named to Atlantic Sun Conference All-Freshman Team after posting a 9-1 singles record…  He also teamed with Carlos Campo to win 5 of 6 doubles matches… Went undefeated in three matches in the D-Flight of the Old Dominion / Old Point National Bank Invitational in his only singles outing of the fall…

 

Personal: Artoym Starkov was born July 20, 1985 in Russia… Moved to the United States at age nine and trained at the Nick Bolletieri Tennis Academy in Bradenton, Fla. for four years… Ranked among the top 10 players in his age group in Florida at one time… Helped lead Bayshore High School in Bradenton, Fla. to 2001 state finals… A computer information systems major…
