Biography

Heading into her senior season, Pappas ranks in the top 10 of several Campbell career records. She entered the season ninth in sacrifice bunts (26), tied for fourth in hit by pitches (16) and eighth in assists (224)

Junior (2006): Named to the NFCA Scholar-Athlete Team and the Atlantic Sun All-Academic Team…played in and started 57 of Campbell’s 59 games…was 15-of-18 stealing bases on the season, ranking sixth in the Atlantic Sun…tied for second on the team with eight multi-hit games, including a 3-for-4 performance at South Carolina…hit .248 on the season…2-for-2 with a pair of RBIs in Campbell’s victory over Charleston Southern…tied for third on the team with six doubles…got hit by 11 pitches, the second most in a single-season in Campbell history…scored a run in two of the Camels three Atlantic Sun Tournament games…2-for-3 with an RBI in CU’s victory over Vermont and Belmont…started 47 games at shortstop…posted a .944 fielding percentage, leading the team with 133 assists…had a pair of stolen bases against Towson and ETSU; both Campbell victories…had a career-high six putouts against North Florida and a career-high seven assists against Gardner-Webb…finished third on the team with nine sacrifice bunt

Sophomore (2005): Played in 52 games staring 48…hit .244 on the season with a pair of doubles and a triple…went 3-for-3 with three RBIs in the Camels 7-0 victory over South Carolina State…had seven multi-hit games and two three-RBI games…three RBIs and a stolen base in CU’s 8-1 victory over Belmont…1-for-3 with a triple and a run scored in CU’s 6-0 victory over Mercer…second on the team with 12 stolen bases…stole two bases and scored a run in a 5-4 victory over UNC Greensboro…committed just 10 errors in 143 fielding attempts.

Freshman (2004): Ranked third in A-Sun in triples (3) … started 53-of-54 games hitting .223 (27-of-121) … hit .306 (11-for-36) with nine RBI with runners in scoring position … led Campbell in sacrifice bunts (10), and on-base percentage (.343) … recorded five stolen bases on the season … finished the season strong picking up hits in eight of the final 11 games, including three-game and four-game hit streaks … during that time went 8-for-26 (.308) at the plate … had a season-high three RBIs in game two against Charleston Southern going 3-for-3 at the plate, scored a pair of run and hit her first collegiate home run in that game … against N.C. A&T she was 3-for-4 (two doubles) at the plate knocking in two runs … in 2-0 win over Elon went 2-for-3 at the plate with her third double of the season

Prep/Personal: First-team all-conference and a second-team All-Delaware selection at Middletown High School ... posted a .339 batting average, 19 runs and six stolen bases... was an outstanding field hockey player earning all-conference honors three consecutive years and MVP honors her senior campaign….full name is Stephenie Lynn Pappas ... daughter of Harry and Carol Pappas ... has one brother Steven who played baseball for York College ... cousins Jimmy and J.R. Jefferson played for the Mt. Saint Mary's and York College baseball teams…born on Jan. 24, 1985 in Camden, N.J. ... majoring in elementary education
