2019-20: Indoor - Competed in the weight throw at five meets this season... Achieved a second-place finish in the weight throw at the Liberty Flames Invite, tossing a mark of 16.17m (53' 0.75")...

2018-19: Outdoor - Set new personal best mark in the discus (45.92m) at the Twilight Qualifier...Threw javelin for the first time at the Big South Championships, setting his personal best at 38.44m...Earned second and set a new personal record (54.59m) in the hammer throw at the Phoenix Invitational...Indoor - Set new personal best in the weight throw (17.00m) at the Gene Anderson Invitational, taking top honors in the event as well... Placed fourth overall in the weight throw at the Big South Championships...

2017-18: Outdoor - Earned third team All-Big South honors in the discus throw and hammer throw after posting PR's in both at the conference meet... His discus throw of 146-9/44.74m at the Big South Championships was the sixth-best mark in program history... Took second place in the discus throw and fifth place in the hammer throw at the Mount Olive Final Qualifier... Finished third in the discus throw and second in the hammer throw at the Liberty Twilight Qualifier. Indoor - Placed ninth in the shot put and fifth in the weight throw at the Big South Championships... Set a personal record in the weight throw (51-8.25/15.75m) at the UCS Invitational.

Prep/Personal: From Meansville, Ga.... Was a state champion in 2017... The son of Amanda and Chet Ward... Has two siblings: Liz and Katelyn... Competed in football during all four years of high school and wrestling as a freshman and sophomore... Plans to major in biology and become a pediatrician after graduation.
