2005 Track & Field: Earned Atlantic Sun All-Academic team honors for a third consecutive year… was fourth in the hammer throw and fifth in the shot put at the A-Sun Championship meet… improved his personal best’s in several categories including improving his hammer throw PR by just under 30 feet… led the team in four events indoor and outdoor shot put (12.25m/12.30m), weight throw (10.87m) and hammer throw (37.87m)… he was a top-10 finisher four times last season and top-25 in every event he competed in during the season…

2004 Track & Field: Earned A-Sun All-Academic honors … posted personal-best marks in the shot put, discus and hammer throw during the outdoor season … finished fifth at the Atlantic Sun Championships  in the hammer throw (95’07”) and 11^th in the discus (104’02”) … best throw of the season in the shot put came at the Carolina Fast Times Meet measuring 38’5.5” for a fifth-place finish … top-mark of 111’11” in the discus came at the Duke Invitational … competed twice during the indoor season with the team’s top mark in the shot put (32’11.75”) at the UNC Invitational….

2003 Track & Field: Earned the Coaches Award for the outdoor season … an A-Sun All-Academic performer … finished in ninth place at the A-Sun Championships with a mark of 36’ 11” in the shot put and in 10^th place in the discus with a throw of 105’ 4” … both marks were personal-bests … discus mark led all throwers … picked up a second-place finish in the shot put at the Coastal Carolina Shamrock Invitational with a mark of 36’ 10Ľ” … season-best throw for the indoor season was a 33’ 3ľ” shot put at the Carolina Heels Challenge.

Prep/Personal: John William Teachey was a four-year letterwinner on the track squad … was also a two-year varsity member of the Pirate football team… the son of Bruce and Mary Lynn Teachey … born on July 4, 1983 in Jacksonville, N.C. … a Pre-Law major at Campbell.
