Cawley Bromley enters her fourth season as an assistant coach at Campbell in 2018.
Bromley has helped guide Campbell to its most successful run in the program's young history, collecting three-straight nine-plus win seasons, with 16 All-Big South picks over that span.
Campbell set single-season school records for goals (245) and draw controls (283) on the way to a nine win season and an appearance in the Big South semifinals in 2018.
Six Camels were honored in the Big South's postseason awards for the second-straight season, with three first team performers (Melissa Placek, Sam Carey and Megan Reilly), one second team honoree (Kayla Reilly), plus an honorable mention (Amanda Chasin). Mackenzie Koeller was also named the league's scholar-athlete of the year for the second straight season.
In 2017, Bromley helped lead the Camels to the most successful season in program history. CU recorded its best single-season winning percentage (.556) and won 10 games for the second-straight season.
Campbell posted a program-best 6-1 record in the Big South to finish second in the league, the best finish in program history. Along the way, the Camels reeled off a program-record five-straight victories to open conference play.
After earning its first bye past the Big South Championship quarterfinals, Campbell won its first tournament semifinal contest, an 11-9 triumph over Winthrop. The season ended in the program's first Big South Championship game against league champions High Point.
Bromley helped mentor a program-record six All-Big South selections including first team honorees Merredith Bechler, Melissa Placek and Kayla Reilly.Â
Bromley was also on the sidelines for the Camels' historic 2016 campaign. CU claimed its first winning season with a 10-9 overall record (.570 win percentage), which ranked fourth in the Big South Conference. The Camels finished third in the league standings (5-3) despite a fifth place billing in the preseason poll.
Bromley and Easley coached Campbell in its first ever postseason home contest against sixth-seeded Longwood in the Big South Championship quarterfinals. CU defeated LWU 14-5 behind a seven-point effort from senior Loren Day to earn its first postseason victory.Â
Campbell placed a school-record four players on the All-Big South teams. Day claimed the Camels' first Big South Offensive Player of the Year nod and first team honors after leading the league and ranking fourth nationally with 67 goals.Â
As a team, Campbell finished fifth nationally in assists and led the Big South with an average of 7.00 per game. Overall, the Camels' unselfish play led to 133 total assists on 233 goals. Campbell also ranked 10th nationally in ground balls (19.95 per game) and points (19.26 per game).Â
Bromley wrapped-up a four-year playing career at Virginia Tech in 2015, making 57 career appearances for the Hokies. The Cary, North Carolina native recorded 62 career points on 30 goals and 32 assists as an attacker. Bromley had a career-high 35 points on 16 goals and 19 assists as a senior.
Bromley tallied 19 career ground balls at VT while winning four draw controls and causing six turnovers. She had a career-high four assists on her senior day against No. 3 Boston College and recorded a hat trick against No. 5 Virginia.
A prep standout at Apex High School, Bromley has served as the head coach of the Carolina Fever Lacrosse Club since the summer of 2010, coaching various girls travel teams from ages 10-18. She was also head coach of the Carolina Blast club lacrosse team from 2007-11.
Bromley was also the Lacrosse Program Director for the Town of Cary from 2011-14 serving as the head lacrosse coach for youth programs and working as an instructor at various camps. She has also served as a camp counselor at the North Carolina and Duke women's lacrosse camps.
Bromley received her Bachelor of Science degree in human development from Virginia Tech in May, 2015, graduating Cum Laude. She was an Atlantic Coast Conference All-Academic Team selection in 2014.
