Biography

2020-21: Had a strong year for the Camels that culminated with seven events at the CCSA Championship… At the TYR ‘85 Invite, she set season bests in each of her three main events (freestyle sprints), and set them numerous times at the meet… Began with a 23.76 in the 50 free, and reset her best time with a 23.62 and a 10th-place finish at the CCSA… Set her season best three times in a row at TYR in the 100 FR with the final being a 51.49… She clocked in only .02 slower at CCSA for an eighth place finish… Improved in the 200 free throughout the year, setting three bests at TYR with a 1:51.35 in the final, and resetting her mark twice at the CCSA, capped with a 1:51.02 for fourth place in the event final… Also part of four Camel relays, helping the 800 free relay place third, and the 200 and 400 free relays place fourth...

2019-20 (Sophomore): At the CCSA Championships, took 17th place (23.74) in the 50 free finals before finishing in 13th place (1:53.32) in the 200 free finals… Part of Campbell’s 200-free relay team that took bronze at the CCSA Championships with a time of 1:33.06… Swam her fastest 50 free (23.46), 100 free (50.94) and 200 free (1:51.13) times of the season at the TYR ’85 Invite… Won the 200 free six times, 100 free six times and the 50 free once in dual meets… Was named the CCSA Swimmer of the Week (Oct. 8) after winning the 100 free twice and the 200 free twice across a pair of meets in the opening weekend of the season… Also swam the 200 back in the quad-meet at ECU posting a time of 2:10.74… Part of CU’s 200-free relay team that won six times and the 400-free relay squad that won three times… Was also a member of Campbell’s 800-free relay and 400-medley relay teams...Named to President's list

2018-19 (Freshman): Broke Campbell’s 100 free (50.91) and 200 free (1:49.49) records during her rookie campaign... Posted her record-breaking 100 free time at the CCSA Championships, swimming her leg of the 400-free relay in 50.91… At the conference meet, swam her 200-free leg of the 800-free relay in 1:49.49, besting Sindija Silina's mark of 1:51.15 set at the 2018 CCSA Championships… Finished first in the 200 free eight times, 100 free three times and 500 free one time… Named the CCSA Swimmer of the Week (Oct. 17) after helping Campbell win the 200 free relay over UNC Asheville by swimming her leg in 23.55 seconds, the fastest among all swimmers… Swam her fastest 500 free at the Liberty Invitational prelims with a clocking of 5:04.93… Part of CU’s 200-free relay squad that finished third at the conference meet with a time of 1:32.69...Named to dean's list..

Prep/Personal: The Clover Hill High School swimming team MVP as a senior… Won the 200 free and 100 free at the 2018 Virginia High School League (VHSL) Regional 6B Championships… Finished ninth in the 200 free and sixth in the 100 free at the 2018 VHSL Class 6 state meet… Coached by Brian Goh, Christine Nevel and Kaitlin Jones… Also competed in club swimming for NOVA of Virginia Aquatics... Born May 10, 2000… Daughter of Patty and Jeff Sanchez… Has two siblings, Laney and Nori… Majoring in Kinesiology Pre PT... After college plans to attend Grad school to recieve Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
