Gerdeman is in her first year as an assistant swimming coach for head coach Pascal Molinard. She handles all the administrative duties of the swimming program, including implementing and maintaining all NCAA Rules and Regulations plus being responsible for all the team travel itineraries and arrangements. She also works with the coaching staff to instruct the team's swimmers on proper stroke technique, aids in the recruiting progress and organizes team functions.
Gerdeman is a current Campbell student that is on track to graduate in May of 2011 with an MBA and a BBA in Trust and Wealth Management and a minor in Financial Planning.
Gerdeman spent the summer of 2010 working toward her career with an internship for the First Citizens Bank & Trust Company in Raleigh, N.C. She worked as part of the Private Wealth management team and dealt with specific project work. Among the independent projects she was involved with were to enhance the utilization of Private Wealth tools, generate spread sheets to determine a potential private client list and analyze results of a completed Private Wealth project.
She also spent the summer of 2009 at First Citizens Bank & Trust Company in Raleigh where she also worked as part of the Private Wealth management team. During her first year at First Citizens Bank & Trust she was responsible for a staffing study work project requiring visiting regional offices for observation and data collection. She successfully completed a learning plan focused on the banking industry outside of the Trust relationship.
In 2008 she worked in Foreclosure Support at Wachovia Bank in Jacksonville, Fla. Among her daily tasks include ordering funds to pay delinquent property taxes in preparation of property sales, ordering and processing Broker Price Options for current property values, requesting and processing checks for payoffs of senior lien and assisting with any necessary foreclosure support.
Gerdeman completed a successful four-year career on Campbell's swim team in May of 2010. She swam on two-record holding relay teams (200 free and 200 medley) during her senior year at Campbell and also swam the 2nd fastest 50 backstroke and 100 backstroke in Campbell history. She placed in the top-three in three individual events (100 back, 200 back and 100 breast) during her final campaign in the pool. For her continued growth and development during her career she was awarded the team's Most Improved Award in the spring of 2010. The 2010 captain aided Campbell to a sixth-place finish at Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association's Championships in her last season.
A consistent standout in the classroom, Gerdeman was selected to the CCSA's All-Academic Team in each of her final three seasons and to the Northeast Conference's All-Academic Team as a freshman. Three times in her academic career she was an honored Campbell athlete with a perfect 4.0 grade-point average. She was named to the school's Dean and Presidential List all eight semesters.
Gerdeman has always been an active member of the Campbell community and served on the Student Athletic Advisory Committee, Treasurer of the Campbell University Circle K and Team Captain of the Relay for Life during her student career.
Gerdeman, who is originally from Jacksonville, Fla., currently resides in Lillington.
