2008 - 2009: Had the team's seventh best individual event time in the 50 back (35.22) against Gardner Webb on 2/7/09 and had the ninth best individual event time in the 100 back (1:18.52) against Florida Gulf Coast on 10/18/08...competed and set a personal-best time at the CCSA Championships in the 200 Free (2:33.52)...a Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) All-Academic Selection.

Prep/Personal: Was a four-year letterwinner at The O'Neal School...named team captain her senior season...also lettered in track & field while at O'Neal and was a member of the National Honor Society...full name is Kristen Chavis...daughter of Dr. Plummer Ray Chavis and Donna Chavis...born 3/15/89 in Laurinburg, North Carolina....has a younger brother, Coby...majoring in biology.
