Alba Pedrero Galindo is in her first year as a graduate assistant coach with the Campbell University women’s tennis team. She is a May 2023 honors graduate of San Jose State University, where she earned All-Mountain West Conference honors.
Galindo also was named ITA Scholar-Athlete four times in her career and was a five-time Academic All-Mountain West student-athlete.
She helped lead the Spartans to the 2021 MWC title, served as team captain for three years and was SAAC representative in two seasons.
“I’m happy to have Alba joining our program as assistant coach,” said head coach Mike Stevens. “She has an outstanding background as a player leading her Spartan team to a Mountain West Conference title, as an honors student and ITA Scholar Athlete and is a wonderful person.”
A native of Murcia, Spain, Galindo compiled a 64-50 career singles record for SJSU. She graduated with a B.S. in business management. As an undergraduate, Galindo interned with the San Jose Sports Authority. She most recently served as assistant tennis coach at Almaden Valley Athletic Club.
