Prep/Personal: Matthew Scott Hawksworth amassed 75 wins over his two varsity seasons for the Panthers...qualified for the state tournament his senior season, finishing sixth...earned 38 wins and recorded 117 takedowns his senior season...member of Orange HS state championship team that finished 23-1 his junior year...won six scholar athlete awards...also competed in cross country and track in high school, winning a total of eight letters...raced BMX bikes in the ABA...he is the son of Bruce and Barbara Hawksworth, born February 9, 1988 in Redondo Beach, Calif....a pre-physicians assistant major...
