Shy Tuelle

Coach Tuelle is entering her third season on staff ahead of the 2026-27 season. She was announced as an assistant coach in September 2024 after a six-year playing career in Buies Creek.

In 2025-26, Tuelle helped the Camels to their second-straight season of 20 wins and back-to-back seasons with a 12-2 home record. She helped in the development of CAA Rookie of the Year Jasmine Nivar, as well as the continued developments of Jasmine Felton and Olivia Tucker, two standout sophomores.

The Camels won a program record-tying 23 wins in the 2024-25 season, Tuelle's first on staff. The season ended in the WNIT, where the Camels defeated Coastal Carolina in the first round for the team's first WNIT win in program history.

Tuelle wrapped up her sixth and final season as a player for the Fighting Camels in March of 2024. She finished her career eighth on the all-time scoring list with 1,430 points while setting school records for 3-point field goals made in a season (80) and all-time (301).

The 2023-24 CAA women's basketball scholar-athlete of the year, Tuelle earned two undergraduate degrees in accounting and sport management in addition to her MBA.

Since arriving in Buies Creek in 2018, Tuelle helped lead the Camels to a 116-65 (.641) overall record and a 71-36 (.664) mark in conference play. Campbell also won two Big South regular season titles, was tournament runner-up three times and made the program's first appearance in the Women's NIT (2022).Â
