Campbell Finishes Seventh at FIU / Miccosukee
Women's Golf Championship
MIAMI,
FLA. -- Alejandra Shaw tied for 19th individually and Campbell
finished seventh in the team standings Tuesday at the the
Miccosukee Women's Golf Championship hosted by Florida
International University.
Georgia
State (914) shot the day's low team score of 296 and won the
54-hole even by eight strokes over second-place Washington State
(922). Host FIU was third (923), followed by Wisconsin (933),
first-day leader Colorado (934), Denver (937) and Campbell (939) in
the 18-school event.
Colorado's
Hannah Hoch won individual honors, finishing at three-over par 222
(74-73-75) on the par-73, 5919-yard Miccosukee Country Club layout.
Washington State's Anastasia Kostina was second at 224 after
shooting even-par 73 Tuesday.
Shaw,
Maite Ortiz de Pinedo and Veronika Falathova all shot 76 for
Campbell on Tuesday. Sofia Gorelik and Emily Simpson turned in 78s
for the Lady Camels.
Campbell
returns to action Mar. 14-15 at the Waterlefe Invitational, hosted
by the University of South Florida in Sarasota, Fla.
