Campbell Slips Past Belmont 4-3 In Atlantic
Sun Match-up
BUIES CREEK, N.C. -- Colen Gore secured the decisive point and
Campbell defeated visiting Belmont 4-3 Saturday in Atlantic Sun
Conference women's tennis at the Nisbet Tennis Center.
Gore
defeated Burgundy Moss 6-2, 6-4 at number-six and the Lady Camels
won four singles matches after dropping the doubles point.
Campbell won the top three singles contests to claim its
second-straight dual match victory. Georgiana Marta won in three
sets at number one over Linda Johansson, while Nina Surviladze and
Scarlet Alfonzo scored straight-sets victories at the second and
third positions.
The
Lady Camels return to action Wednesday in a 2:00 p.m. start against
Lafayette at the Cary (N.C.) Tennis Center.
