Nationally-Ranked Davidson Tops Campbell
7-0
DAVIDSON,
N.C. -- Nationally-ranked Davidson defeated Campbell 7-0 in women's
tennis action Saturday morning at the Knobloch Tennis Center.
Davidson, ranked 53rd in the nation, has now captured 12 straight
matches and moves to 16-3 overall while the Camels fall to
6-13.
The
Cats opened play by sweeping all three doubles matches.
Senior Meggie Patterson and freshman Kelsey Linville teamed up for
an 8-0 triumph at second doubles.
Campbell
was scheduled to play at North Carolina A&T Saturday afternoon,
but that match was cancelled due to rain. Campbell concludes its
regular season schedule on Friday at home against Liberty.
