BUIES CREEK, N.C.—After wrapping up the regular season last week, Campbell found its name littered throughout the NCAA softball national statistics report released Tuesday afternoon.

The Camels (27-38-1, 8-10 A-Sun) swept Gardner-Webb last Thursday to close out the regular season and secure the No. 5 seed in the Atlantic Sun Tournament, which begins May 10 in DeLand, Fla.

Campbell turned a pair of double plays in its 1-0 eight inning victory in game two against the Bulldogs giving it 32 on the season. Not only is the mark a school record, it is also tied with North Texas for the most in the nation. In double plays per game, the Camels rank eighth with a 0.48 mark.

Senior Jessica Huffman moved into a tied for 29^th all-time in NCAA history with the 113^th of her career last Thursday. Her school record 43 on the season is tied for fourth most in the country this season and her 0.67 clip per game ranks 13^th.

Junior southpaw Lauren Caviness is tied for 29^th in the country with three saves this season.

Riding Huffman's outstanding season on the base paths the Camels rank 50^th in the nation averaging 1.39 steals per game. Campbell's 92 steals on the season ranks 23^rd in the country and second most in school history.

The Camels rank 60^th in the nation with a team fielding percentage of 0.966 and are 83^rd with a team ERA of 2.60 thanks to three-consecutive shutouts against Atlantic Sun competition.

Campbell is still waiting to find out its opponent in the first round of the A-Sun Tournament, but there is a high possibility that it will be a rematch with Gardner-Webb. If Stetson wins just one of its four games this week (Jacksonville & North Florida), the Hatters will be the No. 1 seed and will set up a Campbell If Stetson loses all four game, Campbell and the Hatters will met in the opening round.vs. Gardner-Webb first round matchup.
