NASHVILLE, TENN.-Campbell posted just a .045 hitting percentage as
Lipscomb downed the Camels, 3-0 (18-25, 15-25, 11-25) in Atlantic
Sun volleyball action Friday night inside Allen Arena.
The Camels fall to 17-13 on the year with a 10-9 A-Sun record,
while Lipscomb moves to 25-3 with a 19-0 conference mark.
Meghan Hinemeyer led the Bisons with a game-high 13 kills, adding
14 digs. Alex Kelly followed with 12 scores and six digs, while
Kaycee Green added 10 kills. Erin Pierce tallied 17 digs, Katie
Rose aolso chipped in 16 digs.
Leading the Camels was junior outside hitter Emily Werner, who posted
seven kills with nine digs. Senior middle Ashley Weers and junior
outside hitter Allyson Goldbach each
grabbed four kills, with Weers posting three blocks and Goldbach
recording five digs. Sophomore defensive specialist Lauren
Garza led the team with 17 digs on the night.
The Camels will be back in action tomorrow at 2 p.m. CST at Belmont
for the final regular season matchup of the 2009 season.
