BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Campbell (6-1) won five singles matches en route to a 5-2 victory over Coastal Carolina (6-1), Monday at the Nisbet Tennis Center. Davy Sum improved to 7-0 in singles play after his victory in the one spot. The Strasbourg, France native hasn't dropped a set all season.

Freshman Fernando Guillen defeated Yusuke Kusuda (3-6, 6-0, 6-0) in the three position. Guillen improved to 5-2 on the season.

Dominik Kaniewski picked up a thrilling victory over Dorian Sovic in the four position (6-4, 1-6, 6-4). Kaniewski suffered a knee injury in game eight of the third set, and suffered a penalty that caused him to loose the ninth game. The Poland native didn't give up, and fought through the injury to win game ten in the set, and the match.

David Clavera earned his fifth victory of the season by defeating Alex Funkhouser in the five spot (6-3, 6-2). Josep Baro defeated Leo Christofides in the sixth spot 6-4, 6-1.

Campbell improves to 6-1 on the season, while Coastal falls to 6-1.

The Camels finish their three match home stand Saturday, February 25, as they take on the Longwood Lancers. Match time is set for 1:30.
