After Carkhuff's punt pinned the Camels on their own 13, Campbell responded with a 10-play, 87-yard march to cut the lead to 14. The drive was keyed by a 30-yard Wolf pass to Kurt Odom and a pair of Davidson 15-yard penalties that set up the Camels with a 1st-and-goal at the 3. Wolf covered the final yardage on the ground to move Campbell within 28-14 with 4:18 to go.
Davidson covered the on-side kick that followed, but Lucas Smith and Isaac Scott sacked Carkhuff on consecutive downs to force a 3-and-out.
Wolf scampered 47 yards to the Davidson six; then capped the drive with a 5-yard run for the final margin.
