BUIES CREEK – Campbell netted victories in the top to positions, but fell 5-2 to Coastal Carolina Tuesday afternoon. Adrien Rossignon improved to 6-2 this season in singles play for the Camels (3-4, 1-2).

Rossignon won his first career match in the one spot over Danny Heidecker. The Arlon, Belgium native won the first set with ease (6-2), but dropped the second set 2-6. Rossignon fought back, and claimed the third set 6-3 to pick up his sixth victory of the season (6-2, 2-6, 6-3).

Guillen improved to 5-3 in singles play this season after knocking off Leo Christofides in the two spot (6-3, 7-5). The San Louis Potici native hasn't dropped a set in any of his five victories this season.

The Chanticleers took the doubles point, but Ondrej Kralik and August Iwdal picked up a victory in the three spot. Iwdal and Kralik knocked off Sam Barr and Joe Karle (9-8) after rallying from being down 7-4 and facing match point multiple times. The duo is 3-4 this season.

The Camels return to action Saturday, March 3 as they travel to take on former conference rival Jacksonville. Match time is set for 2:00 pm.
