DAYTON, OHIO – Connor Kacsor ran for the go-ahead score with just under five minutes remaining, and Dayton held visiting Campbell on two late drives to hold on to a 19-14 win Saturday at Welcome Stadium.
Dayton improved to 8-3 on the season, and 6-2 in PFL play. Campbell finishes 2014 at 5-7 overall, the school's second-most wins in its modern era (since 2008, record 6 in 2011). CU also finished 4-4 in PFL games.
Kacsor's 16-yard run with 4:48 remaining put Dayton up 19-14. After a failed two point conversion, the Flyers held Campbell, who drove to the Flyer seven yard line.
Dakota Wolf's 44-yard pass to Jabri Ridenhour set up the Campbell chance. Facing 4th-and-5 from the Dayton seven, Wolf's pass to Austin Fleming was batted away, turning the ball over on downs.
After forcing a 3-and-out, Campbell was set to receive the UD punt with 40 seconds on the clock. Kyle Pignatiello's 74 yard punt, bounced all the way to the Campbell 11, pinning the Camels with 30 seconds on the clock.
Campbell's first two passes fell incomplete, and on third down, Wolf's pass was intercepted by Chris Beaschler near the sideline, sealing the Flyer win.
Wolf ended the game with 83 yards rushing on 15 carries, also passing for 93 on 10-of-22 attempts. DeShawn Jones added 63 yards on the ground, while Jabri Ridenhour ran for two scores and 19 yards on three carries.
Ridenhour became the first Camel wide receiver to run for two touchdowns in a game. A native of Greensboro, N.C., Ridenhour also hauled in three passes for a team-high 56 yards, setting the Campbell single-season receiving yards record in the process. Ridenhour's 44-yard catch in the fourth quarter pushed the redshirt-senior to 497 for the year, passing Ben Bolling's 2013 total of 495.
Aaron Nichols paced the Campbell defense with 11 stops, while Alan Hart made eight tackles for the Camels. Ugonna Awuruonye, Greg Milhouse and Isaac Scott each finished with seven tackles, combining for 2.5 for loss.
Awuruonye added a half sack in the loss, tying the single-season Campbell record with 7.5 (Isaac Scott, 2012; Jeremiah Robinson, 2011).
Connor Kacsor led Dayton with 90 yards rushing and a touchdown. Will Bardo passed for 239 yards and a score, connecting on 21-of-39 attempts, adding 53 yards rushing.

With the rushing TD, Ridenhour became the first Camel wide receiver with multiple rushing touchdowns in a game.
Dayton picked up the game's first points, with William Will hitting a 32 yard field goal with 6:15 to go in the first quarter, set up by a Ryan Schwenke interception in Campbell territory.
The Flyers lined up for another field goal two drives later from 44 yards out. Brandon Mobley blocked the attempt with DJ Jones picking up the loose ball and returning 48 yards to the UD 32.
The block set up a three play drive, ending in a nine yard touchdown run off the left side by Jabri Ridenhour after two DeShawn Jones runs, giving Campbell the 7-3 lead at the 9:23 mark of the second.
