BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Six home games, including a Thursday night season opener highlight Campbell's 2015 football schedule.

"I'm excited to start another season in Buies Creek," said CU head coach Mike Minter. "I love opening the season on Thursday night again. The atmosphere of a Thursday night football game, especially an opener, is electric. We set attendance records last year, and I hope we can do the same next season. Our fans are unbelievable and we look forward to another great year in 2015."

For the third time in four seasons, the Camels will open at Barker-Lane Stadium on a Thursday night, hosting Pikeville on September 3 in Buies Creek. Campbell also host Shorter to open the 2012 season and Charlotte in 2014.

Against the 49ers last season, Campbell welcomed a Barker-Lane Stadium record crowd of 6,472.

Campbell will host Chowan nine days later (September 12) in nonconference action.

The team's final nonconference tune-up before heading into Pioneer Football League play will come at Big South member Presbyterian in Clinton, S.C. Campbell is 0-2 against Big South competition since restarting its program, squaring off against Charleston Southern in 2013 and 2014.

In seven seasons, CU has never faced Pikeville, Chowan or PC.

Campbell jumps into its PFL schedule on September 26 at Butler, making its fourth trip to Indianapolis, Ind. in six years. The Camels defeated Butler 28-9 in Buies Creek in 2014.

The Camels' PFL home opener will come one week later, October 3, welcoming Drake on CU's Family Weekend. The game will be Campbell's first of three home dates in four weeks, hosting Marist on October 10 before traveling to Stetson on October 17.

Campbell will host Morehead State on Homecoming, October 24. 2014's 28-27 win over Davidson provided one of the most memorable wins in program history, as David Salmon directed two late touchdown drives and Aaron Nichols' interception set up the go-ahead score to lift the Camels in front of a capacity crowd.

CU topped Morehead State 31-24 on the road last season.

The team's only in-state PFL rival, Davidson will host Campbell on October 31.

Campbell's final road test will come at defending PFL Champion San Diego on November 7. The teams have not met since CU traveled to USD in 2012.

Closing out the season, the Camels will host Jacksonville on November 14.

All game times will be announced at a later date.

A school record seven Camels, plus eight honorable mentions, were named to the 2014 All-PFL teams, including four first teamers.
