Football adds camp date at Providence Day

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell will host a one day football camp at Providence Day High School in Charlotte, N.C. June 6.

The individual camp for rising ninth through 12 grades will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will cover all positions. The camp is $55 per camper.

Check in and registration will start at 11 a.m. before testing at noon. Individual sessions will run from 1-3 p.m., with 1-on-1 drills going from 3-4 p.m.

The camp will close with 7-on-7.

Each camper is required to bring a helmet, cleats and a signed medical form.

Campbell finished the 2014 season, the second under head coach Mike Minter, 5-7 overall and 4-4 in PFL play, recording the program's second-most total and conference wins in its seven seasons. A school record seven Camels, plus eight honorable mentions, were named to the 2014 All-PFL teams, including four first teamers. Eight CU student-athletes, with six first team members, were tabbed PFL All-Academic.

Campbell announced its 2015 schedule in January, featuring six home games, including a Thursday night opener. The Camels kick off the 2015 season with a Thursday night home tilt, hosting Pikeville on September 3 in Buies Creek.
