BUIES CREEK, N.C. --- Four Lady Camels scored in double-figures to lead Campbell to a 72-65 victory over Longwood in Saturday's Play 4Kay game at Gore Arena. Summer Price led the Lady Camels (9-14, 4-10 BSC) with a game-high 22 points.

Jessica Pone fell just short of a double-double with 12 points and a team-high nine rebounds. RaeChaun Edwards also tallied 12 points and added a game-high eight assists and five steals. Amanda Coffer scored 10 points while pulling down six rebounds and blocking a career-high six shots. Price finished 7-of-15 from the floor with a pair of threes and went 6-of-7 from the free throw stripe.

A pair of Coffer free throws tied the game at 60-60 with four minutes to play in the contest. A couple minutes later, MaKala Rouse grabbed a rebound and hit a layup on the other end to give CU a 62-60 lead with 2:04 on the clock. Following another Rouse rebound, Price nailed a huge three pointer to push the Lady Camel lead to five with 1:14 to play.

Campbell held Longwood (6-18, 3-12) scoreless for nearly six minutes following a three pointer by Kydnal Skersick with 6:12 to go. CU's lead was six before Kemari Jones hit a layup with 33 seconds on the clock to cut the deficit to 66-62.

The Lancers were forced to foul in the ensuing Campbell possessions and the Lady Camels went 6-of-6 from the stripe in the final 30 seconds to ice away the win and claim the season-sweep of Longwood.

Eboni Gilliam matched Price's 22 points to lead Longwood. Skersick finished with 16 points while Autumn Childress pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds. Raven Williams added eight points off the bench.

The game featured nine lead changes and seven ties. After a slow start by both sides, a Skersick layup pushed Longwood to its largest lead of the game at 27-19 with 4:33 to play in the second period. CU responded with a 7-0 run to cut the deficit to 27-26 with 2:37 left in the frame. Following a Tiffany Daniel layup, LWU scored the final five points of the stanza to lead 34-28 at the half.

Pone hit back-to-back three pointers to open the second half and tie the game at 34-34 with 7:51 to play in the third period. Neither side led by more than four points the rest of the way through the third. A 6-0 run by a pair of Micaela Ellis threes gave Longwood a 42-40 advantage with 4:30 on the clock.

Two-straight jumpers by Pone re-took the lead for CU with 2:29 left to play in the third. The lead changed hands once again on a Skersick jumper that gave the Lancers a 50-49 advantage with 51 seconds on the clock. Daniel hit a layup with 30 seconds to go and Skersick missed a three pointer at the buzzer as Campbell took a 51-50 lead to the fourth period.

Midway through the fourth, three pointers by Williams and Skersick gave the Lancers a 60-56 advantage. However, those would be the final points they score before the long scoring drought as a Price layup and Coffer's free throws tied the game at 60.

The Lady Camels will be back in action in their second-straight home game on Tuesday when they take on Winthrop at 5:30 p.m. CU will be looking to avenge a 50-49 loss to the Eagles earlier this season.
