BUIES CREEK, N.C. --- Summer Price scored in double-figures for the fourth-straight game, but Campbell suffered a 60-45 loss to the visiting Charleston Southern Buccaneers on Tuesday night.

Price tallied 14 points with a pair of three pointers and two assists for the Lady Camels (10-16, 5-12 BSC). Sarah Smith added eight points off the bench while Amanda Coffer pulled down eight rebounds and finished with six points. MaKala Rouse dished out a career-high eight assists and also scored six points.

A 7-0 run to end the third period drew Campbell within 12 points of the Buccaneer (13-14, 8-10) lead to start the fourth. Both sides went scoreless for the first half of the final frame as three free throws for CU pushed the run to 10-straight points.

With the CSU lead down to 52-43 with 3:17 left to play, an Alyssa Mann jumper broke a nearly 10 minute Buccaneer scoring drought. Mann went back-to-back with two more points in the next possession and Rouse hit a jumper with 53 seconds on the clock as the CSU advantage stood at 56-45. Those would be the final points the Lady Camels scored as the Bucs drained four free throws in the final minute to seal the win.

Three Charleston Southern players finished in double-figures with Mann leading the way at 13 points. Nayla Long and Rachel Burns each tallied 12 points as Elyse Kiploks pulled down a game-high nine rebounds.

After an early scoring drought, a Price three pointer cut the Charleston Southern lead to 12-7 with 2:59 left in the first. The Buccaneer advantage was still five before a late free throw gave CSU a 17-11 lead after one period of play.

Neither side led by more than eight in the second period. A RaeChaun Edwards three pointer pulled CU back within four of the lead (25-21) midway through the frame. CSU's advantage remained four after two Jessica Pone free throws set the score at 29-25 with a minute left to go in the second. However, four points in the final minute sent the Bucs to the halftime locker room with a 33-25 advantage.

An early second-half three by Burns gave Charleston Southern its first double-digit lead of the game. Later in the third, a 7-0 run over a four minute stretch pushed the Buccaneer lead to the largest of the contest at 52-33 with 1:29 left in the period.

Both sides struggled from the field as each shot below 40 percent. CU was plagued with 20 turnovers which resulted in 12 CSU points. Each team registered 18 points in the paint while the Lady Camels held a narrow 42-41 advantage on the boards.

Up next, the Lady Camels will hit the road for their final two regular season road games starting on Saturday at Big South leaders UNC Asheville.
