FARMVILLE, VA. – Tra'vaughn White scored 29 points – 20 in the second half – and Longwood held off Campbell 80-79 Wednesday at Willett Hall.

Darrion Allen added 17 points, Lotanna Nwogbo 16 and Kanayo Obi-Rapu 11 for the Lancers (7-17, 3-8 Big South), who ended a four-game losing streak.

Chris Clemons led Campbell (8-14, 2-10) with 22 points, Troy Harper added 17 and Rod Days a career-high 15 for the Camels, who dropped their ninth in a row.

In a game where the score was tied 10 times and the lead changed on 10 occasions, Longwood took the lead for good (62-60) when White scored in the paint.  Neither team led by more than three in the second period before White made a pair of foul shots for a 66-62 edge with 4:08 remaining.

After Clemons's trey brought CU within 69-68 with 2:04 to play, Longwood stretched the edge to 75-68 on Allen's foul shots with 33.1 seconds to go.  Clemons and Harper knocked down triples in the final 6.8 seconds to pull CU within one.

Harper and Khadre' Lane (career-high 8 points) helped Campbell build a 34-5 edge in bench points.  CU finished with a 17-11 margin in points off turnovers, but Longwood had 10 second-chance points and grabbed a 40-26 edge on the glass.

A 6-foot-8 center, Nwogbo was 6-of-7 from the field and grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds.  White finished 9-of-16 from the floor, 4-of-8 from 3-point range, and 7-of-8 from the stripe to go along with four assists.

Days hit 6-of-8 shots, including 3-of-5 triples and added 3 steals for the Camels, who played the final 13:01 without starting guard Kyre' Hamer, who left the game with an injury.  Clemons made 4 three-pointers and had three assists.

"We really worked hard the last couple of days getting reconnected, communicating and really fighting for each other," said Campbell head coach Kevin McGeehan.  "This was a tough one to take, but I'm really proud of my team for the way they fought.  We had great contributions from a lot of different guys."

Campbell finished the night shooting 49 percent from the floor (29-59) and made 12-of-31 threes (.387). After entering the game shooting 74 percent from the line as a team in Big South games (tops in the conference), Campbell made 9-of-16 (.563) free throws on the night.

Longwood shots 48 percent from the floor and hit 9-of-22 triples (.409), plus 21-of-31 (.677) from the stripe.

The Lancers jumped to a 14-10 lead when Tra'vaughn White canned his third triple of the first half with 13:12 remaining.  The Camels answered with a 16-5 burst and led 26-19 on Harper's three from the right wing with 8:31 to go.

Longwood led 36-35 at the break, thanks in part to 7-of-12 (.583) 3-point shooting.  Campbell's reserves outscored the Longwood bench 19-2 in the opening half with Harper contributing 9 points and Khadre' Lane 6.  Days led Campbell with 11 first-half points on 4-of-4 shooting (3-of-3 threes).  Darrion Allen had 10 points for the hosts before intermission.

The Camels return home Saturday to host Big South co-leader UNC Asheville in a 2:00 p.m. tip at Gore Arena.
