BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Matt Parrish knocked in three while Junior Snow went 5-for-5 to slug Campbell past Rider Wednesday at Jim Perry Stadium.
The Camels (8-10) pounded out 14 hits at the plate and dished out 10 strikeouts from the mound to topple the Broncs (1-12), who split their two game midweek series. Rider claimed Tuesday's meeting 11-8.
Campbell put up four in the second and five in the bottom of the fourth to command a 10-0 lead over the visiting Broncs.
Parrish, a senior from McGee's Crossroads, N.C., led off the second with a base hit, and Snow bookended the four-run frame with a two-run single, scoring Drew Butler and Michael Van Degna.
In the fifth, Campbell loaded the bases with no outs and pushed a run home on Brian Taylor's hit by pitch. Parrish followed with a triple into the left-center gap, clearing the bases. Zach Minnick tacked on a run, singling in Parrish for the 10-0 lead.
Snow, who picked up his first career hit with a bottom of the ninth, pinch hit RBI single Tuesday, kept his streak alive with a 5-for-5 night, driving in two and scoring twice in the win. Parrish went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs, while Butler also knocked in a pair.
Anthony Lopez drove in two on a homer in the bottom of the fifth, his first of the season. The senior was 2-for-5 in the game, scoring twice.
Wes Noble (1-0) fanned nine in seven innings, allowing two unearned runs on five hits with three walks. Tyson Messer, surrendered a run on a hit with a strikeout in the eighth, while Erik Dowse worked a 1-2-3 ninth for the Camels.
Jordan Silverman (0-1) took the loss for Rider, allowing five runs on six hits in 2 1/3 innings, adding a strikeout and a walk.
Six different Broncs scattered hits on the night, with Teagan Piechnick driving in two on sacrifice flies in the sixth and eighth.
