BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell hosts Canisius in a three game series this weekend, running Friday through Sunday, March 4-6. The set kicks off Friday at 6 p.m., with a 3 p.m. first pitch Saturday and a noon start on Sunday.

Campbell's home stretch will reach seven straight games on Sunday. 18 of the team's first 21 games will come at Jim Perry Stadium this season.
Campbell topped Duke 5-1 Wednesday night in Buies Creek behind a RBI and two runs from Jimmy Monaghan and Tyson Messer's five strikeouts.
Monaghan went 2-for-3 for the Camels in the win, breaking through with the game's first hit, a triple into the right-center gap in the bottom of the second. The freshman then scored on a wild pitch to give CU the early lead.
Messer, a freshman right-hander, fanned five of his first nine batters in his first career start. The Lillington, N.C. native tossed three innings with a hit and a walk to go along with his five strikeouts in a scheduled short start.
For the season, Anthony Lopez bats .382 with eight runs, while Monaghan posts a .353 clip. Brian Taylor, meanwhile, has driven in a team-best 10 runs, batting .310. On the mound, Nick Thayer owns a 2-0 record with a 2.08 ERA, while Grant Yost is 1-1 with a 1.42 ERA.
Canisius is 2-6 in the early going, most recently splitting a four game series against Fordham in Wilson, N.C. The Golden Griffins opened the season dropping all four to No. 15 Michigan in Port St. Lucie, Fla.
Anthony Massicci paces Canisius with a .348 average, knocking in two and scoring twice, while Tim Kensinger owns a .286 average, a RBI and three runs scored. On the mound, J.P. Stevenson is 0-2 with a 2.45 ERA in two starts this season.
