BUIES CREEK, N.C. --- Campbell women's basketball coach Ronny Fisher has announced the coaching staff for the upcoming 2016-17 campaign. Lindsay Bowen and Pierre Miller have joined the Lady Camel staff in addition to current coaches Megan Hall and Adam Surguine.

Bowen, Miller and Hall will serve as assistant coaches focusing on all aspects of the program while Surguine will transition to the roll of director of player personnel and video operations. Miller and Bowen will work with perimeter players with Miller taking an emphasis on guards. Hall will serve as recruiting coordinator and work with post players.

Bowen comes to Campbell after spending last season on Fisher's staff at Presbyterian College. Bowen helped lead the Blue Hose to new heights not seen in their Division I tenure last season. She helped mentor a program-best four all-conference selections, including the Big South Freshman of the Year for the second-straight season. PC finished with a 13-7 Big South record and advanced to semifinals of the conference tournament for the first time in program history as the third seed.

"I want to first thank Coach Fisher for allowing me the opportunity to join him here at Campbell," said Bowen. "I truly love working with him and have enjoyed learning from him as a mentor. It is very exciting to be a Camel. The campus is beautiful and the facilities and resources are amazing. But most of all the people are just so supportive and welcoming."

Prior to her time at Presbyterian, Bowen served as assistant coach at Florida International for two years. She was a standout student-athlete at Michigan State from 2002-06 and ranks second all-time in MSU women's basketball scoring history with 1,739 career points. Bowen was a four-time all-Big Ten academic honoree, collected Big Ten freshman of the year honors in 2003 and earned all-American recognition as a senior.

After graduating with a bachelor's degree in kinesiology, Bowen played professionally in the WNBA with the New York Liberty in 2007-08 then in Europe from 2006-10.

"I am thrilled that Lindsay will be joining our staff at Campbell!" said Fisher. "Lindsay was a tremendous player and is a true competitor. She does a great job with individual player development and understands the level and intensity that it takes to compete at the highest level. Most importantly, she is a wonderful person who will provide a great positive influence for our young ladies."

Miller joins the Lady Camel staff after spending the last three seasons as an assistant coach for the Presbyterian men's basketball team. He assisted with all elements of the program including recruiting and scouting while also monitoring student-athlete progress rates.

"Campbell is a prestigious institution and my family and I are so thrilled to become a part of it," said Miller. "The vision and support for Campbell athletics is outstanding and I am humbled and grateful to be able to make transition with Coach Fisher from Presbyterian. I am so excited to join his staff to continue to build Campbell women's basketball into one of the premier programs in the country. Go Camels!"

Miller was a standout guard for the Blue Hose from 2007-2011. He finished his career with close to 1,000 points and over 300 assists. Miller owns numerous records in the PC Division I record book including program-best marks for three-pointers (206), assists (328) and games played (119). He is a 2012 Presbyterian graduate with a degree in sociology and an athletic coaching minor.

Miller is married to the former Maurissa Strickland and the couple has three young children, Julia (5), Noah (2) and Lilah (seven months).

"I am excited that Pierre has chosen to join our coaching staff her at CU!" said Fisher. "I was fortunate to recruit and coach Pierre as a student-athlete a few years back. He is a high energy coach who does a tremendous job of conveying his passion to players. He and his wife, Maurissa, have a wonderful family and they will be great additions to the Campbell community."

Hall will be entering her 12th season on the Campbell staff after serving the past 11 seasons under 35-year head coach Wanda Watkins. She has been on the bench for 156 Lady Camel victories and has coached 13 all-conference players and mentored 58 all-academic team selections. Hall played a key role in Campbell's 2009 recruiting class that ranked as one of the top 150 classes in the country and featured Lady Camel standouts Tonisha Baker, Jasmine Cooper and Monique Spry.

Surguine will be entering his second season at Campbell after serving as a special assistant last year. He will have added emphasis on player development and video scouting in the upcoming campaign. Surguine spent one season as director of operations at Mount St. Mary's before coming to CU after serving as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Lancaster Bible College.

"I am proud to announce that Coach Hall and Coach Surguine will remain on staff here at Campbell. They have a vast understanding of what Campbell is all about and they provide continuity for the program, and that is an invaluable asset. Megan brings a wealth of experience and she has a love for CU that simply shines through. She is a tireless worker and a tremendous recruiter as well. Adam is a very talented young coach who has the knowledge and a unique skill set that I believe will be vital for our program. They are both terrific additions to our staff."

Campbell is coming off a 13-18 campaign and will open the 2016-17 season in November.
