BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Ben Calvano knocked in two and Grant Yost pitched eight strong innings to lead Campbell over High Point 4-3 Saturday at Jim Perry Stadium, clinching the Big South series.

Campbell moved to 26-23 overall and 13-7 in Big South play, while High Point slipped to 29-20 on the season and 12-8 in conference games. Campbell claimed game one of the series with a 4-3 win Friday night.

The Camels and Panthers battled to a stalemate through five and a half frames before Calvano put Campbell on the board with a two run double. Junior Snow followed with a RBI base hit to bring Calvano home and make it 3-0 Campbell.

Both teams combined to leave the bases loaded three times before Calvano's two run double. Campbell and High Point each left nine on for the game.

Tim Mansfield cut the Campbell lead to one with two out in the top of the ninth with a two run double, but a fly out to left ended the late rally.
