CHATTANOOGA, TENN. - Nathan Kraisser took home a seventh place finish on the final day of the 2017 Southern Scuffle presented by Compound Clothing.

Kraisser defeated no. 6 ranked Barlow McGhee in the seventh-place matchup, 1-0, his final match of the Scuffle. This was Kraisser's second defeat over McGhee, his first coming at the NWCA All-Star Classic to begin the season.

As a team, Campbell finished 16th overall with 27 points. The Camels sit one spot above conference foe, Gardner-Webb, and the second best finish by a SoCon team. Chattanooga was the highest finishing SoCon team during the Scuffle, sitting in 11th.

Also competing on day two of the Scuffle were Andrew Morgan* (174), Austin Kraisser (157), and Ville Heino (184).

Morgan's day began with a fall at 3:00 against Kimball Bastian of Utah Valley. He dropped his second match of the day by a 4-2 decision against Duke's Connor Bass, which ended his tournament.

A.Kraisser opened day two with a 3-2 decision over Luke Fortuna of Missouri, but dropped a 5-1 decision to Chase DeLande of Edinboro to close out his Scuffle appearance.

Heino defeated Matt Lemanowicz of Missouri by major decision, 11-2. Heino's final match of the Scuffle was a 12-0 major decision loss to Dakota Greer of Edinboro.

Campbell is back in action Jan. 8 at 2 p.m. as they travel back to Chattanooga, Tenn. for a SoCon dual with the Chattanooga Mocs.
