It was a quick 3-0 start for the Camels in the opening set, but the Bulldogs held an 11-9 lead midway through the frame. Heath tied the frame at 11-11 with a kill but it was a narrow 13-12 Campbell lead following a bulldog error.
The Camels held a 15-13 advantage when they reeled off a 7-1 run to take a 22-14 lead off a service ace from
Madee Miner.
Heath gave Campbell set point at 24-17. The Bulldogs fought it off twice, but Schuitema dumped a kill over the net to finish the Camels' first set victory.
A kill by Guthrie pushed UNCA ahead 11-10 in the second set. The Bulldog lead stood at 15-12 when the Camels responded with a 3-0 spurt to tie the frame.
With things tied at 16-16, the Camels reeled off three-straight points and later took a 22-17 lead off a UNCA attack error. The Bulldogs drew within 23-18, but a Stocking kill and a Bulldog error gave the Camels the second set.
