DENTON, Texas --- New Orleans fought back from a 2-0 deficit and edged Campbell 3-2 (17-25, 23-25, 25-23, 26-24, 16-14) in volleyball action from the North Texas Challenge early Friday evening.
Allena Heath had a career-high 29 kills for the Camels (6-2).

Heath's kill tally was the seventh-best single-game performance in program history.
Summer Schuitema dished out a career-high 50 assists and added 13 digs for a double-double.

Jessica Stocking also notched a double-double with 11 kills and 10 digs.
Kayla Schanback added a team-high 15 digs and
Madison Linxwiler had six kills and six blocks.

After forcing the winner-take-all fifth set, the Privateers broke a 5-5 tie with a 3-0 run to take an 8-5 advantage. Facing a 10-8 deficit, the Camels tied it up at 10-10 with a kill from Stocking and a UNO attack error.

Later, Kaitlyn Grice put the Privateers up 13-11. But a 3-0 run for the Camels, capped by a kill from Heath, Campbell at the brink of the win with match point at 14-13.

However, back-to-back attack errors from Heath flipped the script and gave UNO match point at 15-14. Following a timeout by CU, Rhyan Rand sealed the comeback with a final kill to complete the comeback for New Orleans.

Lane Hindenburg led New Orleans with 15 kills followed closely by Rand with 14. Rand added 11 digs for a double-double while Blessing Dunn had a match-high 17 digs.

The Camels raced out to a quick 5-0 lead in the first set with the help of two kills from Heath and an ace from Schuitema. The Privateers cut the deficit to 11-10 midway through the frame, but a 3-0 spurt for the Camels made it 14-10.

Campbell led by as many as seven at 20-13 before a 5-1 run put the game away. Stocking had back-to-back kills in the final run and Schuitema sealed the deal with a dump over the net for the final point.

The Camels led 19-17 in the second set before a 5-0 spurt by the Privateers put the score at 22-19. It was a 23-20 Privateer advantage before a Stocking kill ignited a 5-0 run for the Camels that closed out the frame 25-23. Stocking finished with three kills in the run.

New Orleans used a 9-0 run in the third to take a large 19-8 lead. The Privateers had set point at 24-19, but Campbell scored four-straight points to draw within 24-23. However, Dunn shut the door and closed out the set with a kill to keep the match alive.

In the fourth set, the Camels had match-point on a kill from Schuitema at 24-23. However, the Privateers reeled off three-straight points to win the fourth 26-23 and force the decisive fifth set.

Campbell will continue play in the North Texas Challenge on Saturday with a pair of matches starting at 2 p.m. against Oregon State. CU will close out the event at 8 p.m. against the host Mean Green.Â
