Molinard announces 2018-19 swimming schedule

Campbell opens the season at home against Liberty on Saturday, Sept. 29.

BUIES CREEK, N.C. -- Campbell swimming head coach Pascal Molinard has announced the schedule for the 2018-19 season.

"It's a great schedule," Molinard said. "We have a large team coming up, so I really tried to go out of my way to get some good swim meets."

The Camels will host three dual meets and one tri-meet at the Johnson Aquatic Center. Additionally, the 2018-19 slate features seven dual meets on the road.

Campbell will begin the season at home as the Liberty Flames visit Buies Creek on Saturday, Sept. 29. The first meet of the year is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.

Following the opener, CU will hit the road for three-straight away contests at Gardner-Webb (Oct. 5), Vanderbilt (Oct. 12) and UNC Asheville (Oct. 13). The Camels wrap up the month of October with a dual meet against Georgia Southern on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 11 a.m.

Campbell welcomes Lenoir-Rhyne and East Carolina for a tri-meet on Saturday, November 3. The action between the Camels, Bears and Pirates is set to begin at 1 p.m.

CU will travel to Lynchburg, Va. for the Liberty Invitational to end the fall slate, scheduled for Friday through Sunday, Nov. 16-18.

The Camels will take another three-meet road trip during December and January, visiting Florida Atlantic (Dec. 20), UNCW (Jan. 5) and Old Dominion (Jan. 12).

CU's final home meet of the season is set for Saturday, Jan. 19 in Buies Creek as Campbell hosts North Florida. Senior Day recognition will begin at approximately 10:45 a.m. Campbell ends the regular season at Liberty with a two-day dual meet in Lynchburg.

The Camels return to Lynchburg for the conference meet at the Liberty Natatorium. The 2019 CCSA Swimming & Diving Championships are scheduled for Wednesday through Saturday, Feb. 20-23.
