Campbell drops Gardner-Webb match 5-2

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.­-Campbell fell in today's match against the Gardner-Webb Bulldogs 5-2 in Boiling Springs, N.C. This places Campbell at 8-9 for the season. 
 
Campbell kicked off the match day action by securing the doubles point to put them in the lead. Doubles pair Ana Castillo and Lou Regen notched the first doubles win at No. 1 with a 6-3 decision over Gardner-Webb doubles partners Miljana Ristic and Daniela Naupari. Inma Ramon and Isabel Boada clinched the point for the Fighting Camels with a 6-4 win over Gardner-Webb's Valentine Limauge and Manon Delsol. 
 
Campbell was only able to score one singles win for the day. Ramon won her singles matchup to take the win over Delsol 6-1, 7-6 (7-4). This victory gave her the only 2-0 overall record of the day.
