BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Megan Mozingo registered four hits against Ohio but Campbell dropped both of its matchups on day one of the NC State Invitational at the Dail Stadium.
Campbell dropped the opening game of the day to Ohio 9-6 before falling in the second game to NC State 8-0.

Megan Mozingo belted two home runs and recorded a hit in every at bat but Ohio used an 8-0 seventh inning to top the Camels (4-12).
Katie Yun (3-for-4, 2 RBI, 2 run) homered in the sixth and scored the sixth and scored drove in the second run of the sixth as a part of the comeback. Yun drove in pinch runner Taytum Hargrave after Alex Day started off the inning with a solo homerun and Michaela Dorsey reached on an error.
Allie Englant loaded the bases with a single to right field and later came in to score on a Natalie Alvarez singled down the left field line to score two including Englant.
Caroline Spacek (1-for-4, 2 RBI, 1 run) later doubled to scored three more as she eventually advanced on an error and came in to score.
Mackensie Kohl (5-2) picked up the win after going 4.2 innings where she allowed four earned runs across eight hits. Madi McCravy picked up the save by tossing one complete frame where she struck out two batters.
Megan Richards (2-5) rendered the loss after giving up seven runs – four earned – over 6.1 innings where she allowed six hits.
Megan Mozingo (4-for-4, 3 RBI , 2 runs, 2 HR) belted a solo shot as a part of a three run first inning and followed with her second home run in the second to make it 4-0.
Campbell added one more in the third on a sacrifice fly from
Hannah Jones to bring home
Danielle Northrup.
Mozingo added her third RBI of the game in the fifth on an RBI single to center field to bring home
Avery Wheatley.
Campbell vs NC State
Devin Wallace threw a one hit shutout and Jessica Moore drove in three runs as NC State (9-6) topped Campbell.
The Wolfpack scored three runs in the first and third innings and added two more to seal the win in the fifth.
Wallace (4-3) faced just two over the limit and allowed just one hit over five innings while striking out seven.
Haley Hutchins (2-5) suffered the loss after she allowed seven earned runs across nine hits.
Leading 3-0, Moore sent a three run home run over the left field wall to bring home Logan Morris and Brigette Nordburg.
Randi Ferricker and Angie Rizzi both hit solo home runs in the fifth to seal the win.
Bri Bryant registered the Camels only hit of the day with a single to left field in the top of the third.

Campbell returns to action tomorrow in the final day of the NC State Invitational with a pair of games. The Camels start things off with a 9:00 a.m. contest against Kansas followed by a rematch with NC State at 11:30 a.m.
