SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Campbell swept through action Friday to top USC Upstate 7-0.
The win marked the fourth straight win for the Camels (9-2, 3-0 Big South) and its seven out of its last eight outings.
Lou Regen and
Alexandra Nicoara paired to clinch the doubles point, 6-0, at No. 3 following a 6-0 win at No. 1 from
Ana Castillo and
Lea Cutura.
Regen later clinched the match at No. 3 in singles by tabbing a 6-1, 6-2 win.
Lucile Pons opened singles action with a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 4 before
Lea Cutura picked up a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 2.
After Regen clinched the match, Nicoara picked up a 7-5, 6-3 win at No. 5 before
Inma Ramon claimed a comeback 4-6, 6-1, 10-3 win at No. 6.
Ana Castillo closed out the afternoon with a 2-6, 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 1.
Campbell jumps back into action tomorrow at Winthrop with first serve set for 2:00 p.m.
