LYNCHBURG, VA – The Liberty Flames proved to be too much for the Camels during Saturday's dual meet, winning by a margin of 142-110 at the Liberty Natatorium.
It was a solid start for the Camels, when
Maggie Whitman (11:02.64) and
Avery Rogers (11:09.43) grabbed places two and three in the 1000 free.
Julia Sherlock picked up second place in the 100 back at a time of 58.59, and later grabbed a third-place finish in the 200 back at 2:08.08.
Simone Palomo and
Skyler DeWall got on the podium together in the 200 fly, with times of 2:08.35 and 2:11.96, respectively.
Annie Sanchez had two second-place finishes in the freestyle sprints, going 24.56 in the 50 free, and 53.27 in the 100 free.
The finishing relays were good to the Camels.
Maialen Sudupe finished second and Kristine Mikkelsen finished third in the 200 IM. The day concluded with a strong swim by the 400 Free Relay teams, taking second and third place with times of 3:33.93, and 3:42.55.
The Camels will return to action next Saturday, when they head to the coast to face UNC Wilmington. That one is scheduled to start at 11:00 a.m.
