BUIES CREEK, N.C. – UNC Asheville won six tightly-contested singles matches on the way to a 7-0 dual match victory over Campbell Saturday at the Nisbet Tennis Center.
 
Benjamin Niv and Matthew Beecher earned a 6-4 victory for Campbell (0-6, 0-3 Big South) at the top doubles spot.
 
However, the Bulldogs (4-4, 1-0) claimed the point when Oli Nolan and Rafa Serra edged Benjamin Maes and Gustavs Lukstins 7-5 at number two for the decisive margin.
 
Lukstins won the opening set at number five singles before Leo Bierbaum rallied to claim a 5-7, 6-1, 6-2 victory.  At least one set in the other five singles matches extended to 12 games, but Asheville claimed each one.
 
Campbell returns to action Sunday at UNC Wilmington.
